Introduction of Dr. Ma

Fushun is a highly educated and experienced surgeon from China. After relocating to Canada, he completed formal manual osteopathic training and earned his Diploma in Manual Osteopathy with honors. He is committed to integrating his deep medical knowledge and surgical expertise into the care of his osteopathic clients.

Fushun’s medical journey began with a bachelor’s degree in medicine, followed by a master’s degree, and ultimately a Doctorate in Medicine from the world-renowned Peking Union Medical College. Over more than 40 years of clinical practice, he worked across multiple specialties—including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, burn and plastic surgery, and cosmetic surgery—performing over 30,000 surgeries as the surgeon in charge.

His medical training extends well beyond China. Through fellowships and observerships in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, he gained exposure to diverse medical systems and practices. This extensive international background allowed him to adapt seamlessly between Eastern and Western medical environments. During his training in Canada, he successfully passed the Medical Council of Canada Evaluation Exam (MCCEE) and the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Exam (MCCQE), demonstrating strong mastery of medical knowledge in the Canadian context.

Fushun is also deeply engaged in medical research. His publications in internationally circulated professional journals and his presentations at scientific conferences have earned him recognition among peers worldwide. His contributions led to his appointment as an Associate Editor for the highly regarded journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His academic career—spanning both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education—has been equally fulfilling. He believes teaching is not only an act of sharing knowledge, but also a way to refine, strengthen, and deepen his own understanding through feedback and review.

After decades of clinical experience, Fushun has become increasingly aware of the side effects of pharmaceuticals, the uncertainties of long-term surgical outcomes, and the challenges related to implanted prostheses. He now seeks to help clients using only his hands—performing healing work without a scalpel—and hopes to bring the precision, discipline, and insight of a surgeon into every osteopathic treatment he provides.
